Brandon was a fun, basketball loving 15 year old. His entire life he played a sport of some kind, but his true love was basketball. He played year round, whether it be for the school or a rec league. Less than 2 months before his 16th birthday we received the devastating news that he had osteosarcoma in his right femur, would need the tumor removed,and would never be able to play basketball again; His life was shattered that day, but this kid was a true fighter, after chemo, surgery, more chemo and other surgeries, he was in remission. He pushed himself to get his strength back and that he did, with lots of PT he was to the point of starting to jog. Then once again his life was shattered with the news that the cancer had returned and this time to his lungs. It was completely devastating. But like a true fighter he continued to push with more chemo and surgeries even after being told at one point he could not be cured due to the cancer once again spreading. Unfortunately just shy of a 3 year fight, Brandon won the ultimate battle and went to play basketball on the streets of gold.
Though Brandon could not be cured, we hope this fund will raise money to put towards research for Osteosarcoma, through MIB Agents, to develop better treatments for our kids. They deserve better, they deserve more than 4%, they deserve to live a full life full of love and laughter.
